
Rumeli Castle

Rumeli Castle or Rumeli Fortress ( Turkish: Rumelihisarı) is located along the Bosphorus coast of Sarıyer district on the European side of İstanbul in Turkey.
Built in 1451-52 during rule of Ottoman emperor, Fatih Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople.
Open to public visit everyday exept Wednesdays from 09:00 to 16:30.
