Culture of Turkey consists of variety of elements from Ottoman, Central Asian, Middle Eastern and European traditions.
The country was spanned over Europe, Asia and Africa during the peak of Ottoman rule and the fact that Turks migrating into Anatolia from Central Asia is a good reason to understand about multi-ethnic structure of Turkish culture.
After fall of the Ottoman Empire and foundation Republic of Turkey in 1923, modernization period of the nation was started.
Major difference is the change from a religion-driven state to secular nation-state.
